MERTECH 2220 P2D USB Wired Barcode Scanner, USB RS232 Emulation, black

MERTECH 2220 P2D USB is a new generation wired handheld scanner for working with labeling, USAIS, cash register and warehouse operations. The model is designed for reliable reading of 1D and 2D barcodes in retail, warehouse, pharmacy, pick-up points and other areas where speed, accuracy and reliability of equipment are important.

The model is equipped with a modern 2D Image module, an ARM Cortex A7 processor and 3500K LED backlighting, which ensures stable operation at speeds of up to 100 scans per second, even with complex, small, poorly printed and flashing codes. The scanner supports Honest Sign and USAIS, recognizes barcodes from different surfaces, can withstand an intense daily load and is easily integrated with 1C, VLSI, EVOTOR and other accounting systems via USB-HID, USB-COM and RS-232 emulation.

Advantages of the new generation

The MERTECH 2220 P2D implements modern technologies that make working with the scanner more convenient, accurate and efficient.:

• modern 2D Image module for stable reading of 1D and 2D codes;
• ARM Cortex A7 processor for fast information processing;
• Antireflect 3500K LED backlight for glare protection;
• accurate code reading from complex surfaces, including glass and film;
• recognition of small, poorly printed and contrast weak barcodes;
• Automatic scanning support;
• visual and audible indication of successful reading.

Accurate reading of markings and complex codes

The MERTECH 2220 P2D USB is suitable for the sale of labeled products and automation of commodity accounting. The scanner supports work with Honest Sign, USAIS, alcohol, footwear, tobacco products, medicines, perfumes and other categories of goods where confident recognition of 2D codes is required.

The minimum contrast ratio of the barcode is 20%, and the minimum resolution is 3.9 MIL. The reading range reaches 370 mm, depending on the type and size of the code. For 5 MIL codes, the working distance is 30-90 mm, for 13 MIL — 40-200 mm. This makes the model a universal solution for the cash register area, sales floor, warehouse and PVZ.

Reliability during daily operation

The scanner body is made of a durable combination of ABS plastic and polycarbonate. The device has an IP54 degree of protection, which ensures resistance to dust and external influences in conditions of intensive work. The scanner can withstand up to 50 drops from a height of 2 meters on a concrete surface, as well as multiple falls from a height of 1.5 meters.

The trigger resource is designed for 5 million clicks, so the model is suitable for continuous operation in stores, warehouses, pharmacies, gas stations and logistics companies. The weight of the scanner is only 162 grams, and the ergonomic shape of the case ensures a comfortable grip and reduces the load on the brush during the work shift.

Connectivity and compatibility

The MERTECH 2220 P2D connects via USB and supports USB-HID and USB-COM interfaces with serial port emulation. RS-232 emulation is also available optionally. This allows the scanner to be used with online sales registers, computers, and accounting systems where the usual COM connection logic is required.

The kit includes a 300 cm long USB Type-A cable, which gives you more freedom when placing equipment in the workplace. The scanner is powered by a 5V/300mA source.
